Too much pizzazz for one episode! Talented duo Peter and Emma Newman join us for a lengthy discussion of their individual works (Planetfall and The Vagrant, to name two) as well as their Hugo-winning collaboration, the Tea & Jeopardy podcast. And that’s but the tip of the iceberg. Roleplaying, dress-making, audiobook narrating… the only peril lies in skipping this episode, dear listener. (part 1 of 2)
The endlessly entertaining Delilah S. Dawson joins us to discuss her recent Star Wars tie-in novel, Phasma, as well as her other novels and comics. Delilah writes in a number of genres and is known for her unique blend of humor and darkness. She’s also a master of word creation who gave us terms like whimsydark and humpalicious. We can’t wait for her upcoming collaboration with Kevin Hearne, Kill the Farm Boy. How can you pass up this one?
Abandoned Places is an anthology of short stories featuring a mix of new and established writers, including stories by Ray Bradbury, Dashiell Hammett and Edgar Allen Poe. It’s the first release from Shohola Press, a new venture by UN’s own Chris and George! We discuss the book, which releases on March 9, and also hear from many authors with stories therein–including UN’s Cath and Chia, Lauren C. Teffeau, Anna Yeatts and Ransom Noble.
(NEWS FLASH! Also includes a bonus, exclusive scoop of exciting news from Lauren! You heard it first on Unreliable Narrators!)
If you’re in the SF Bay Area, come to our readings and signings at FOGcon in Walnut Creek (Sat. 3/10 @ 8PM) and at Book Passage in San Francisco (Mon. 3/12 @ 6PM).
